POLLY MAGGOO reloaded

The space was created through the collaboration of artist friends, balancing technique and emotion while approaching the spirit of the cuisine of the chef and founder of Polly Maggoo, Giorgos Iliou.

The design incorporates strong elements of theatricality, referencing the cabarets of early 20th-century Paris. A glass illuminated volume at the entrance encloses the kitchen area and highlights the image of Polly Maggoo created by the graphic designer Dimitris Tsingounis.

The metal staircase leading to the second level culminates in a metal structure that defines the space and is interwoven with threads, while the sides of the staircase are clad in gold leaf. On the ground floor, the bar—covered with a sheet of zinc—features a colorful mosaic by the visual artist Electra Papagiannaki, while graphic artworks with images of Paris by Paris Koutsikos cover the walls.

Finally, on the upper floor, glass display cases host works by Vasilis Tsokopoulos and Petros Kritikos.
