The intervention in the space was based on the name of the café-bar “Libré.”

Working through associative thinking, we focused on the ideas of freedom, free movement, multiple realities, and independence from materiality and luxury. These concepts shaped the architectural vocabulary, expressed through bold colors and primary materials such as wood, iron, tin, and wire.

Three spatial tools were used to structure the space: the existing levels, three new volumes, and a system of lines within the space.

The new volumes, almost perforated in character, were constructed with a metal frame, while materials such as construction timber, chicken wire, and corrugated metal sheets were used to fill their façades.

The lines were traced along the paths of the different levels. Crossing the space transversely, they transform sequentially—either into a counter-bar or into a table counter—depending on the levels they encounter. At the same time, they pass through the new volumes, creating a layered and dynamic interplay of spatial relationships.
