Description
Safka is the first Scandinavian restaurant in downtown Athens. The central idea of the design was based on the idea of the Scandinavian Forest. The basic volume of the kitchen is covered with wood and follows its own rhythm. The densifications and dilutions of the forest are experienced by the height variations created in the space, that intensify different spatial experiences. Metal as a material dominates and connects the space to the industrial neighborhood where it is located. The raw, urban garden on the back maintains the overall style of the area, reminding us that we are in Metaxourgeio
